So we were going to post this on the Ruling forum but no one has gotten around to it...
Basic scenario: I play Great Image in battle, my opponent plays Grapes. When does GI go off? And can my opponent push a new hero into battle before GI goes off?

I know that Chariot of Fire had previously been ruled to work in between the battles, which is why I ruled that GI does as well. But I was not 100% confident. I have always assumed that "following battle" abilities complete during battle resolution, and that even though Grapes ends and begins a battle to complete its ability, the first battle should still have a battle resolution phase that only matters in rare situations like the above.

I agree with Jordan. There should be a resolution then another battle phase, correct? If BTN is first battle, is second battle BTN?

That's a definite no. Grapes' second battle is in a new phase. The FBTN ability will expire when the new battle starts

So, side-question that sorta relates to this: Which activates first: Chariot of Fire or Great Image?

Chariot of Fire, as it was in play first.
