Several Questions

1. Is the site doubler lost soul's ability considered part of its identifier, or its actual ability?

2. What happens when a card says something like, "Negate all good enhancements in play." Will good enhancements in my territory be discarded because the "place in territory" is in it ability, and thus negated?

3. Can Caius Caligula negate and discard a site in battle?

1. It's the Lost Soul's ability not an identifier.

2. The "place" part of a place enhancement is CBN in any phase after it was initially played.

3. Is a site in battle "in play"? Yes.

Thanks, that's what I guessed. Never hurts to be sure, though.

Another: Can you target your own land of redemption with Falling Away?

Yes.  In fact I lost a state tournament several years ago because my opponent fell away their own soul.

How? Was it the speed bump?

I never thought of that?

Anti-burial.  He already had Guardian out, with one LS redeemed and a half-rescued 2-Liner.  Meanwhile, I had Burial in my deck (possibly in my hand at this point, can't remember) but the Anti-burial LS in my Land of Redemption.  The Falling Away in my hand obviously does nothing useful against his Guardian, if he gets the 2-Liner he's at 3 with SoG/NJ still to play.  I can't block his rescue, so I play FA targeting the Anti-burial, let him redeem that one, draw into Burial to take care of the 2-Liner, and proceed to win the game.

This is still the most memorable play I've ever made, and comes up at least once each tourney Drrek and I are both at.

Quote
Falling Away (Errata/Play As):  Select any Redeemed Soul and return card to your Land of Bondage. Treat it as a Lost Soul. Subtract the rescue from appropriate player's current score.

Any means any, no restrictions are present on which player you can target.  Be aware that you could also accidentally hit yourself with Falling Away if you play it when only your Land of Redemption is unprotected by Guardian or Lampstand.  In that case, your redeemed souls are the only valid targets, and you have to select one of them to fall away.

Great play!

I almost made a similar type play many years ago in a T2 game against SirNobody. He was using a Choose the Blocker deck and his Wool Fleece had stopped me from using Unknown Nation. As he was about to attack for #7, I dropped Angel on the only EC in his territory hoping he would have no blocker to choose (except for mine). Unfortunately he had one left in hand to win 7-6. Only afterwards did I realize I should have saved AotL, used it on the EC he chose, and then used Unknown Nation to bring in an EC from deck that would have easily stopped him.

And that's my "Great play that almost was..." story  ;D

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

It also stopped me from playing my burial later in the game, so that falling away was effectively a 3 soul swing in a game that ended 5-4.
