Question...

The special ability reads...

"Discard an evil card in battle to shuffle all remaining characters in battle into owners' decks. If the current rescuer doesn't have the most Redeemed Souls, he may begin a new battle."

If the evil card, followed by the other evil characters, are removed from battle, what of the evil enhancements that have already been played?  I assume they remain. Does that mean that if a new evil character comes into the battle and the enhancements are able to apply to him, they are then applied?

If no characters remain the enhancements go to discard as they don't have someone to stick on/trigger off of. After the discard and shuffle "a new battle" may begin which mean nothing from the previous battle would be in play.
