Is HoB considered a heal card?
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Yes, it has a heal ability.  However, I'm unsure if you can play it anytime you would a healing card

No. Disregard any Play-As that is actually Errata.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

The play-as IS a play-as, though. What exactly is "return bearer being discarded to your territory" if not a heal?

Sounds more like an instead than a heal to me.

I don't see the word "instead" in the special ability anymore than you see "heal". Also, heals played during battle are effectively insteads, yes, but that doesn't suddenly make them not heal abilities.

Come on, you're smarter than that. So if I put out a Hero holding Helmet of Brass who has contracted Leprosy, you play CM, and I use Helmet of Brass, he's been cured of Leprosy? There is very good reason to believe it's an instead and not a heal.

No. Disregard any Play-As that is actually Errata.

On that note, I would like to announce that there is an active effort on the part of the Elders to go through every card and fix Play-As's that are missing, mistermed, or poorly worded. Pending completion and Rob's approval, we will have a reference thread for any problem cards currently in the REG.
