If i block with the murdering pharaoh pharaoh and golden censor is negating him, does he work?
Murdering pharoah-
Search deck for a genesis or exodus site or fortress. Decrease all heroes in battle x/x (x being number of opponents good brigades) this turn. May band to taskmaster. This card and taskmaster cannot be prevented.
Golden censor-
Negate an evil or neutral card in play or set aside area, cannot be interrupted.
-
Golden Censer would target him in territory, so it would be preventing him when he enters battle. So he works.
-
So if there is a can't be interrupted character- he wouldn't work? Unless he is territorial class?
-
If a character is cannot be interrupted, but is prevented by something before activating his ability, then the ability does not work.
-
Ok- but initially golden censor is interrupting the card, correct?

Yes. the interrupt is instant. then, from that point onwards, the card that censor is targeting is prevented.

thanks

It appears you made contradicting statements. You said it would be preventing him when he enters battle but then you say "so he works". How can it be both? And besides, his ability is CBP so Golden Censer will not prevent his ability from activating, from my understanding of how it works.

I believe what Aggie meant was Golden Censer would be attempting to prevent him (targeting him for prevent), but since he is indeed CBP, the ability triggers as usual.

It's amazing how one word can change the entire meaning of a statement. :)

Yeah, my fingers got ahead of my brain.
Of course, all of this presumes Golden Censer being activated in the Prep Phase - it would interrupt him if activated during battle.
