"Ignore X" / "X is ignored"

Household Idols, Play As: "Banding of Heroes is prevented. Good banding cards are ignored."
Victory: "Ignore any demon or beast in battle. May not be negated."
Stone Cut Without Hands: "Holder ignores the Great Image card."

When cards don't specify which characters are ignoring other cards, what is the assumed ignorer? For Victory, I believe that the Hero it is played on ignores a demon. For Stone Cut Without Hands, I believe it is all of the holder's Heroes. For Household Idols, I'm not really sure who is ignoring good banding cards - perhaps all cards are ignoring good banding cards? Is there a systematic way to determine this (without Play As-es)? Luckily, most ignores in the modern era say "All Genesis Heroes" or "All Heroes" or something similar do the ignoring, but older cards or older Play As abilities like that of HhI do not specify. (Newer Play As abilities, like that of Three Nails, are good.)

What does Gabriel Meets Zecharias do when Household Idols is up? "Search deck for a N.T. Hero and add it to hand or battle. Prevent the special ability on the next evil card played this battle." Can you search? Can you add it to hand? Can you prevent the next evil card?

Hey,

I would think that for an enhancement that ignores that does not specify who the ingorer is the ignorer would be the character the enhancement was played on.  For Household Idols it is Household Idols itself that is the ignorer (and I think that would generally be the case for ignore abilties written in passive voice).

With Household Idols active Gabriel Meets Zecharias could still search for a N.T. Hero and add it to hand, but could not add it to battle.  Similar to how if Captain of the Host banded to Jacob [FooF] (say from a gathering ability) Jacob could still band but he could not play an enhancement.

Since "good banding cards are ignored", is the next evil SA prevented?

Hey,

The only thing that results from ignoring an enhancement is mutual immunity between the enhancement and the card that ignores it.  Since it's an artifact doing the ignoring in this case the fact that the enhancement is ignored means almost nothing (it just means that the enhancement can't target the artifact, which at this point no banding cards do).

How did COTH get into battle with HHI up if he is gathered? And how did he band to jake at all with HHI up? I don't see any similarities. I would say it is prevented because despite of how you use it, it is a good banding card. Just like jake can't (if he could enter battle with HHI up, which he can't.) go into battle and play first instead of banding.

His Captain example was without HhI active.

In thinking about this, I realized something: If someone is ignored by a card not in battle, the ignored card still can't enter battle. So RA Claudia/Ethiopian Treasurer, play Reuben's Torn Clothes ("...All Genesis Heroes ignore an evil brigade of your choice."), and as long as some Genesis Hero is in play, the selected evil brigade cannot enter battle. If Household Idols can stop good banding cards from enter battle without it itself being in battle, I don't see why Claudia/ET/RTC with Gen. Hero in territory wouldn't do the same. I don't like that.

Yet, it was never intended that a ignoring character in a territory could stop another character entering battle.  The whole point is that a rescuing Hero can stop certain characters from entering battle.  The relevance (as well as the limitations) of continuing to ignore while in a territory is that other things can't be done to that character (shuffled, discarded, set-aside) by the character or brigade it is ignoring.
