Haman Promo is used to set aside 3 Heroes.  The following turn Persian Presidents captures one of the Heroes that Haman had set aside.  Then Heroes owner uses I am Redemption to return the captured Hero to their territory.

Does the Hero who was set aside by Haman, captured, then returned to territory, still get discarded after 4 turns if a female doesn't make a successful rescue?

Haman
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Brown • Ability: 5 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Set aside up to three OT male Heroes in opponents' territories for four turns. If a female Hero does not make a successful rescue attempt during those four turns, discard those Heroes.

Persian Presidents
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Brown • Ability: 3 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Capture a Hero that was or is set aside. Cannot be negated if Lion's Den is in play.

I Am Redemption
Type: Covenant • Brigade: Yellow • Ability: 3 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Return your captured Heroes to your territory. Cannot be negated by an evil card.

I say yes.  Haman doesn't specify that the hero must remain in set aside for the ability to complete, so I think the set aside and the discard should be treated as different abilities (to a point).

 

It seems that setting the heroes aside with Haman has the added bonus of your opponent not being able to use the heroes. But I should think they are still discarded since the card does not specify that the heroes must remain set-aside during those four turns.

An easy way to dodge the discard, if it still works in this scenario, is to leave the character as a captured hero until 4 turns have expired.  The character is no longer a hero, so the discard should not work on the character.  Then activate I am Redemption to return the character to territory.
