Title: Foreign Wives
Post by: Farmer_Maggot on October 06, 2014, 10:19:09 AM
Foreign Wives' game text...the draw 5 cards part...

If my opponent draws 3 to start his turn and in that draw, draws 2 lost souls, causing him to draw 2 more, since he drew 5 cards, does that count toward the 5 cards that activates Foreign Wives' game text?

Thanks

Lost Souls that are then replaced do not count as "drawn cards" for game purposes, per game rule.

In the case you specified, they drew 3.

"per game rule"

I wasn't aware that there was a rule explaining this.  So....is this a final authoritative ruling on this scenario then?

Agree with Red and Redoubter that this is how Lost Souls and drawing abilities have always been handle (e.g., a LS does not count towards the three for Reach of Desperation).

@Redoubter and/or @browarod  Could one of you move @browarod's questions about "when drawn" lost souls into a separate topic? It seems to me that this may be another Every Man's Sword vs site access hero type of situation where cards have been played incorrectly/inconsistently for forever. It seems worth discussing further.
