Exchanging and control

I just got to wondering about something, and would like input.

If I use SWS to exchange for my opponent's EC, then I get to control that EC for the rest of the game until they are discarded (or my opponent uses SWS to switch back).

If I use the Wanderer LS to exchange for my opponent's LS that has an EC on it defending it, then should I also get to control that EC?

If I use an enhancement that steals my opponent's site that has an EC on it defending it, then should I also get to control that EC?

What does everyone think?

Seven Wicked Spirits - You may interrupt  all Fortresses  and exchange this Evil Character with any other Evil Character  in play or set-aside area.

Wanderer LS - If this card is in your  territory  during your preparation phase, you may exchange it with a Lost Soul in an opponent’s territory (except another copy of this card).

Gaining control of a card does not give you control of cards that have been placed on it.  Weapons are the exception to this rule.

Thanks.  That rule is easy to remember and simple to teach.  Just what I was looking for :)

I assume that "placed enhancements" would also be an exception.

I don't believe they would.  Can you help me understand why you think so?

The ruling was that if you had control of a character with a WC enhancement and entered battle, that the WC enh would work.
So I assumed that if you had control of a character with a placed enhancement on them and entered battle, that it would work, too.  Is that incorrect?

OK, when you say "placed enhancement" your talking about an enhancement that's been placed by someone like Agur.  Yes, I imagine that would activate as normal when the Hero enters battle because there's nothing in the ability that is contingent upon the owner/controller of the card(s).  So enhancements that are placed and waiting to trigger when the Hero enters battle will still work, the same way they work if you band that Hero into battle while your opponent still controls it.  You control the ability on the enhancement because you control the Hero that's using it.

If we're talking about other types of "place" enhancements, like Destructive Sin or Fear of Danger then I don't think those change controllers because of an exchange.
