Angel Under the Oak would be beginning the battle, not Sam, so Hidden Treasures doesn't activate. The problem with this is, what if I go into battle with a green prophet with a banding ability and then band to someone, by your logic, my lone green brigade prophet began the battle, really I would say either anytime a green prophet is the first character is in battle hidden treasures will activate, or if you have to wait until all abilities complete and see what the battle looks like (such as an exchange with Angel Under the Oak) and if there is a lone green prophet in the battle you can use Hidden Treasures.
