Can Evil Spirit convert MMoJ? What about Mary Mag?

That's different, since King David and David are the same person.  The many Marys (great band name) aren't.

I'm in the camp that believes Mary, mother of Christ, is Mary, mother of James, in Mark 16:1 based on my Bible studies.  My response is therefore similar to the David ruling in that context.

Forgive me if that is not the case for the card in the game.

I'm suspecting that Evil Spirit is referencing Mary Magdalene, rather than MoJ.

I just find it weird that they put the except mary on the card if it was meant to target Mary Magdalene, since the Mary Magdalene out at the time was immune to it anyway.

I never even realized that was on the card! Better solution: use Kings because it's better in every way.

I agree, but there's always the small possibility that this could come up in booster draft.

Redemption's stance is that if there's any doubt and they go by two different names, different people. That's why Thaddeus and Jude are different people, as well as Lemuel and Solomon.
