Angel's sword SA: if blocked by a human evil character hero may play the first enhancement.

King Zimri SA: you may discard a crimson enhancement from hand to discard all cards in battle.


1.What if an angel with angel's sword was in battle and was blocked by King Zimri and EC decides to discard all cards in battle , (which hero decides not to put a stop to it via SI)

 Does the angel still get to play an enhancement with Angel's sword ability? even though there are no characters in the field of battle?

 This question is kinda similar to the Uzzah and Michael + angel's sword one on the forums somewhere.

2. Is it true that an evil character is only considered blocking or has entered battle when all the special abilities on the evil characters complete?

Example

 2.1 Angel with angel's sword and in battle with Proud Pharisee.  Does Proud Pharisee's ability ( play an enhancement ability ) have to finish and complete before Angel's sword can activate?

1.  Angel's Sword cannot activate until all blocking abilities complete.  If Zimri is discarding all characters in battle, Special Initiative is granted by the new rules immediately (even if other abilities are pending on the blocking side), so that is resolved.  If, after Special Initiative and all blocking abilities complete there is a character to play an enhancement on, then Angel's Sword completes.
