Is an exchange considered withdrawal?

If one begins a rescue attempt with Angel Under the Oak and then exchanges him for a gold judge, would that trigger the special ability on the Acts 23:27 "Withdrawer" Lost Soul?

I don't think so. FWIW, Withdraw and Exchange are listed separately in the REG.

Agree.  Withdraw is a different ability, and exchange changes the places of two cards (for AUtO meaning territory, hand, or deck).  It doesn't first withdraw to territory to do the exchange, it is just that they change places.

Yea. Withdraw doesn't leave anyone in Battle, Exchange swaps a card in Battle for another one.
The only thing Exchange can count as is a Search if it goes into Deck or Discard Pile.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

I agree with what everyone else has said. To help drive this point home, in T2, using Nebushasban to exchange Lost Souls doesn't automatically result in a successful block, which lends more credit to the idea that an exchange is switching positions, there's no extra steps (such as withdrawal).

If you want to use that soul to it's full extent pair it with a Herods defense cause one captures if a Hero withdraws and another can force a withdraw if 2 Heroes are in battle.

It also works well w/ Goliath.
