John the Baptist is a priest of the house of Levi, because Zachariah was of the house of Levi and Elizabeth was of the line of Aaron. In short, priestly inheritance on both sides of the family.
Well?

I didn't think John was a priest, period...

The REG refers to priests this way: "In Redemption, a priest is a character that was referred to as a priest in the Bible or in Church
tradition......Priests in Redemption® must have ‘priest’ in the title or description area on the card."
I'm going to assume John the Baptist is never referred to as a priest in the Bible which is why he isn't treated as one.

Agreed. Just being of the house and lineage is not enough, if one does not also perform the duties or hold the office of a priest. John wasn't a "Priest" in the Jewish sense, so I don't think it would make much sense for him to be considered one for Redemption purposes.
