Both prints of Glittering Sword quote Deuteronomy 32:41, which comes from the Song of Moses.
Shouldn't Glittering Sword therefore involve music?

Sure. The real question is, why would anyone use Glittering Sword?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Waaaaayyyy back in the day I liked using Glittering Sword on King Sennacherib because of his First Strike, but these days it's fairly non-playable.

Even so, why would it even matter? Cards like Music Leader that interact with "musical" cards typically specify "good cards that involve music."

Wrong Glittering weapon.  Spear is evil, Sword is good.

I dunno. With Musicians, their Chambers, and now a Reserve, I don't see how Glittering Sword couldn't be an option in the future.

An OT Purple battlewinner (granted, a conditional one) that can be played off of Throne and recurred by Music Leader is legit.  Still, it probably wouldn't make the cut in most Throne/Musician decks.

I actually did use two of them in a T2 Throne deck (the one I played at the T2 Only this year in fact) as I wanted another battle winner besides Valley of Salt and Counsel of Abigail--especially since Valley can get tossed by Coliseum.  8)
