"End the Battle" abilities fizzle pending and interrupted abilities, right?

Correct. If Player A has Golden Cherubim and Player B plays 2K Horses/Forgotten History, Player A does not get to trigger GC.

To complete the example, if my opponent plays a battle-winner and I play 2kH+FH their battle winner was effectively negated?
