Emperor Vitellius vs Sword Against Sword

Jair makes a rescue attempt, is blocked by Emperor Vitellius, Vit uses special ability to draw. Jair uses Sword Against Sword to make Vit fight another Evil Character in play. Does Vitellius' special ability activate again?

No, abilities only activate the first time they are played in battle.

This is the only real proof I can find, though.
