EM & Invoking Terror

Alright, I got this question last night when I was playing a proxy game, If I used EM to put the only Hero under deck by Inovking Terror can I still band to an Egyptian like Dreaming Pharaoh and Draw by him?

Egyptian Magicians
2/4 Gold/Pale Green Evil Character
Reveal the Top or Bottom of your Deck. If it is Evil, add it to hand and Draw 1 or add it to Battle. May band to an Egyptian. Cannot be Interrupted.

Invoking Terror
2/4? Crimson/Pale Green Evil TC Enhancement
Place a Human Hero under Deck. If used by a Multi-Color Magician, Place this card under Deck. Cannot be prevented.

So what happens?
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

Yes, EM's special ability completes regardless if a hero is in battle or not.

I'd question how Astrologers can be better. It can't add it to battle or Band.

Astrologers (TP)

Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson/Pale Green • Ability: 3 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: Reveal the top or bottom card of deck. If it is evil, add it to hand and opponent must discard one of his cards from territory, except a Lost Soul. Cannot be interrupted. • Play As: Reveal the top or bottom card of deck. If it is evil, place it in hand and opponent must discard one of his cards from territory, except a Lost Soul. Cannot be interrupted.

Egyptian Magicians (FF2)

Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gold/Pale Green • Ability: 2 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Reveal the top or bottom card of your deck. If it is evil, add it to hand and draw 1, or add it to battle. May band to an Egyptian. Cannot be interrupted. • Play As: Reveal the top or bottom card of your deck. If it is evil, place it in hand and draw 1, or add it to battle. May band to an Egyptian. Cannot be interrupted.

Astrologers:
CBI (+ 1)
Recurs Invoking Terror (+ 1)
Puts it back (+ 1)
Opponent discards (+2)
5
Egyptian Magicians:
CBI (+ 1)
Recurs Invoking Terror (+ 1)
Puts it back (+ 1)
Draw 1 (+ 1)
Bands to another one (+2)
Can do the ability again with the other one (+ 1)
7

I personally think that without this Egyptian Magicians is much better. Potential to D2 and add even more cards to the mix, able to play a boss card CBI: Forgotten History, DoU, Invoking Terror, Failed Objective, or Wonders Forgotten. That's more than enough to stop the opponent for 5 plus rescues against any sort of offense.

I'd question how Astrologers can be better. It can't add it to battle or Band.

It destroys your opponents territory and gets IT back in hand.
Just one more thing...

I'd argue that EM is a fair bit better, since the add to battle ability is essentially a play/band ability, but they are both very good.

Most of the time, I don't care too much on ur Territory Des, because I'll just let u hit my Hero or useless card and for the most part the card I choose would be recurrable and so I wouldnt care, (or else I would hit an Angel to my Chamber that I don't need right now.
It's harder for me to get around a card that u pull right to battle like WF or Beheaded or something harder like that and the Banding causes me more trouble too.

In T2, territory destruction is a lot more useful, since the games move at a slower pace most of the time, which gives Astrologers an edge over Egyptian Magicians in the minds of at least a handful of T2 players, including myself.

I prefer EM in T2 to Astrologers. Even in T2, the ability to draw is good, and CBI banding is even better. And Astrologers' discard ability is typically not too useful, since people usually have a duplicate character or Fortress they can get rid of. If Astrologers allowed you to choose, then it would be far and away the better magician in T2, and possibly T1 as well.
Press 1 for more options.

I remember having that conversation with you back when I first starting out in T2, but I still prefer Astrologers in T2. This may mostly be due to me using Disciples/Assyrians, so I have a lot of options to kill defenses already.

I'll have to side w/ Prof. My T2 Deck runs dups + Asher & Chariot. So I'd let u hit my Hero just to shuffle him after battle.
