Okay, so you have Ehud with gathering of angels. Does his "interrupt wall of protection" work to band, since his ctb hasn't activated yet?

The way I see it is that the order of abilities are: interrupt wall of protection, band, choose the blocker. Is that right?

Also, just another random question before I forget it. If you have a silver and blue guy in battle, and are blocked and have initiative and play gathering of angels IN BATTLE, can you play book of jashar to repeat it? My instinct says yes.

1.  First off, there was a recent discussion about whether CtB abilities are really after everything else.  I belielve the ruling was that CtB isn't always last and that placed abilities would happen after.  My answer is based on this idea.  If it is wrong, then ignore me.

I don't think it works.  Let's look at Reach.  In that card, the interrupt only works while that card is being done (D3 and the next enh).  After that, the battle isn't interrupted.  Therefore, I would think that after Ehud's ability is complete (ctb), WoP stops being interrupted and therefore Gathering does not allow Ehud to band over WoP.

2.  Yes, you can.  I think.

You would have to still have an angel in battle, since Jashar becomes an "exact copy" of Gathering and is now silver.

There was no official ruling yet. Maly argued they were triggered and came last, but SK posted that Bryon had talked about it at a tournament, and thought they should go before CTB abilities. So... I still have no clue how those work yet... don't mess with them for now. XD

Gathering ALWAYS goes before CTB, so therefore I say this logic is wrong. Even if CTB came first, I would still argue the interrupt lasts until every ability on Ehud finishes.

Okay there has NEVER I don't think been someone who believes that GAINED Abilities like Gathering of Angels work after choose the blocker, only ACTIVATED/TRIGGERED abilities. So I think the question is: does interrupt wall of protection activate before or after banding?

Follow the order of abilities:

SA's on the card except those that add cards to battle (banding and CTB)
Gained abilities except banding and CTB
Weapons
Banding, then gained banding SA's
CTB, then gained CTB SA's.

so, You would interrupt WoP, then band, then CTB.

Yeah, don't quote my post as an official ruling, but I'm pretty sure it's right.

Hey,

Gained abilities except banding and CTB
Weapons
Banding, then gained banding SA's
CTB, then gained CTB SA's.

This order is correct.  But there may be one more condition that needs to be added to that list.  One of the things still being resolved for the new REG is how exactly paired abilities work.  One aspect of them is that they must activate together.  The interrupt and choose the blocker are paired.  So in order for them to activate together the interrupt is lowered to the CTB level because it's paired with choose the blocker.  That means the banding would happen before the interrupt.  But that is still somewhat tentative, I'm not sure what the ruling is/should be for right now.

You forgot that they still need to add placed enhancements around the same point as weapons.  :P
