I assume that Job would not be considered defeated either since the evil character lost. If the evil character lost how do cards like momentum change work if you played grapes in battle on the evil character?

How would your Elijah's Mantle make your opponent's Job go to D&A?

It is also possible for the EC to be defeated, the rescue attempt to fail, and the block be successful. We have to be careful not to lump different definitions into the same statement.
