Odd play question.

So while playing a game this week, I had a rescue attempt with Ibzan, was blocked by fallen warrior who then played Joseph in Prison. (interrupt battle and remove all cards in battle from game) Deciding to be diabolical, I then played Deborah's Directive. (interrupt battle and band in any number of OT heroes) I banded in all of my opponents OT heroes, let JIP take effect again, and had all his OT heroes removed from the game.

My question is basically, is there anything wrong with that chain of events, or did the battle play out the way it was supposed to? Despite my years of experience with this game, I am still suprised by what can and cannot be done.
Me: So a key card in my T2 deck is a common?
SirNobody: Worse, an Angel Wars common.

The battle played out perfectly.  Tricks like those are what makes the game more suspensefully fun :)

Just don't try that with United Kingdom because it interrupts walls of protection, Not the battle ;)
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.
