If I CAN, what about cards that simply say "search draw pile"? Is that assumed to read "search holder's draw pile" or "search YOUR draw pile"?

Great question. I'm glad i got this clarified.

Hey,

I'm jumping into this thread a bit late, but...

1)  Preparation phase before game begins?  Do I understand correctly that each team can put out whatever sites and fortresses they want to before the first turn is taken?

I'm pretty sure that was an experimental aspect of unofficial teams events that is not part of official teams events.

I agree with Prof that sites should be shared.  It's more intuitive and I just don't see a downside to the idea.

Can I play a card that says search YOUR draw pile to search my team-mate's draw pile?
Since your opponent's draw pile is owned and controlled by either you or your teammate, then yes.

If I CAN, what about cards that simply say "search draw pile"? Is that assumed to read "search holder's draw pile"?
In this case it is missing the magic word "your", and therefore you are limited to only searching holder's draw pile.

I find this problematic.  I'm not sure there's a better solution, but that's a very fine (and occasionally fuzzy) line to draw.

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly

More questions! :(

Let's say my team-mate and I both have Plague with Diseases out, or Crown of Thorns, for example. I'm guessing it would be cumulative due to the wording on the card, is there something I might be missing that prevents that from being true?

Also, Hidden Treasures states "Once per turn, if your lone green brigade prophet begins a battle, you may play an Enhancement or discard an evil Enhancement in an opponent's deck."

If me and my team-mate both have them out. And I make a rescue attempt with a lone green brigade prophet, can I play an enhancement, and have him discard an opponents evil enhancement from deck?

The official rules for teams include BOTH an intro-prep phase (where each player can perform any of the actions that are allowed during a preparation phase simultaneously with the player that will take the first turn) and the second player draws three rule (where only the first player to take a turn does not draw three cards on their first turn).

The official rules are located here.

The line is actually very clear because it whether the word "your" is on a card is an objective criteria.  As for the rule causing problems, I understand your concern, but so far it hasn't.

The official rules for teams include BOTH an intro-prep phase and the second player draws three rule
I agree with Mike.  You are correct that intro-prep hasn't been adopted by the other formats of Redemption though.

Let's say my team-mate and I both have Plague with Diseases out, or Crown of Thorns, for example. I'm guessing it would be cumulative due to the wording on the card, is there something I might be missing that prevents that from being true?
I believe that you are correct that these would be cumulative.

If me and my team-mate both have [Hidden Treasures] out. And I make a rescue attempt with a lone green brigade prophet, can I play an enhancement, and have him discard an opponents evil enhancement from deck?
I believe that if you both had HT activated, then you could do what you suggest here.  However, if he had already used HT on his turn during his own attack, then he would not be able to use it again.

So if only I have Hidden Treasures and my opponent attacks with a green brigade prophet, can I play an enhancements?

I see this kind of thing causing trouble...

No, what I was getting at, is, let's say YOU have Hidden Treasures up, and your teammate attacks with a green brigade prophet. You can't play an enhancement because you can't play enhancements on your teammates heroes, however, you CAN discard from an opponents draw pile.

I have one question. I know the rules have changed a little bit now and then but am I able to use one of my opponent's sites for access since we are able to put lost souls in them?

EDIT: I am still a little confused with two things...

1) How are the players supposed to sit? Side to side or in a round table every other seat?

2) Am I aloud to show my parnter my hand? lol I had to ask

The players on the 2 teams should alternate around the table.  So it should go A1, B1, A2, B2.

2) Am I aloud to show my partner my hand?
Only if you show it to all the players at the table.  And even then, it probably would be considered a little weird :)

Can I play dominants during intro prep phase? According to Reyzen's explanation in the Teams Official Rules thingy, no. However, if its just a prep phase before the game, I think it'd be yes.

I think the reason the answer is no is so as to not have mayhem wars.  (ie if someone draws their hand faster and plops it and mayhem down and no one else gets an intro-prep it seems quite unfair...)
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

Is this discussed anywhere? Mayhem doesn't really stop anyone from having an intro prep, it just changes their hand. Although it could be helpful for the player playing Mayhem on their turn of intro-prep, you have to remember that it would use a very powerful dominant before the game even starts. I think is pretty balanced.

I think that I agree with Reyzen.  For Intro-prep to be fair, everyone should get to do it with their original 8 cards.  Then as soon as the 1st turn starts, you are welcome to play your Mayhem if you like :)

In that case half the teams at MN State should have been DQ'd for playing Guardian before the game started :P.

(Nah. I just wanted to pull something sneaky and mean with Mayhem. :()

How does Burial Shroud work in TEAMS?  From the way the card is worded, both of the opponents of the player who activates Burial Shroud do not get to attack the player who activated it, but they can attack the player's ally, and the ally of the player who activates Burial Shroud still is allowed to attack and rescue.  In our playgroup's opinion this is not the intent of the card.  This would make Burial Shroud underpowered in TEAMS.  Our playgroup is requesting an errata for Burial Shroud that will work in all forms of play.
Our recommendation is to rephrase the special ability in this way: "Holder and holder's partners may not make a rescue attempt or be attacked.  May be used twice."

Unfortunately, you are correct that BS is NOT a good card to use in TEAMS.  It basically doesn't stop your opponents from attacking, it only stops whoever activates it from making a rescue attempt or being able to defend.

However, now that TEAMS is an official category, we've had to give up the right to errata cards specifically for TEAMS (ie. Doubt).  Therefore, the best plan is just to leave this card on the shelf.
