Title: Dream vs. Strong Angel
Post by: emonier on July 11, 2018, 08:41:38 PM
In a game today, my opponent did a rescue attempt with The Strong Angel (Kings).

I blocked with a crimson EC, who had lower numbers, so it was my initiative.

I then played DREAM: Holder may interrupt the battle, draw three cards and play the next enhancement.

My thinking was that Dream would interrupt the Strong Angel's ability, so that Dream could be played (and not be negated by Strong Angel).

However, my opponent argued that I could NOT interrupt the Strong Angel, because my Dream card would be negated by the Strong Angel.

So, what do you think?

Any Help?

Thanks

If a Negate (or Prevent) effect is in place before the Interrupt is played, then the Interrupt is Prevented before it can activate.  The Interrupt needs to be CBP or CBN or it doesn't get to activate.
