Dragon Raid

Question. How does Dragon Raid get played? Does it just sit in your Site Pile and stay active there, or does it actually go into battle and activate when in battle? Can you put a Lost Soul in it?

Thanks in advance!

Since there are 2 different Dragon Raid cards, one from warriors and the new promo one, I'm going to assume you're asking about the new promo Dragon Raid. Both are multi-color Sites though so they essentially work the same.

You can add a Site to battle from your territory at any time to gain access to an opponent's Site of a matching brigade. Since Dragon Raid has the good rainbow brigade icon it counts as every brigade so it will gain you access to any other Site.

The special ability on a multi-brigade Site is only active when it's in battle. When Dragon Raid promo is in battle with a human it will negate Lost Souls.

In the event that you have a Lost Soul ability that you want to activate by placing it in a Site, you can add the Lost Soul to Dragon Raid. Since it's every brigade it will not keep a Hero from gaining access.

Good stuff. Thanks Gabe. Also, when you use Dragon Raid in battle, I'm assuming its a one and done site access. Meaning it gets discarded at the end of battle. Correct?

No, sir! It returns to your territory after battle to be used again.  8)

Certain multi-brigade Sites, like New Jerusalem and Promised Land, have a limitation of 2 uses. Dragon Raid has no such limitation.

Just for clarification, if you add a site, I'm guessing it has to match the color of the Hero in order to gain access.   In other words, you can't add a different color site for a Hero to gain site access. Correct?

Sites do not have to match hero brigades.  You can add sites of any brigade to battle.

The site you are using in battle doesn't have to match the hero, it has to match the site you want to gain access to.  Heroes don't need a site to have access to sites of their own color.

Just to clarify, you can add an unoccupied site to battle at any time.  ;)

This is not correct, as stated by the others before me. Let me provide an example of what you can do:

1. You have a red brigade hero in territory.
2. Your opponent has only one Lost Soul available, which is in a green site.
3. Your red brigade hero cannot access the Lost Soul since his brigade does not match the site's brigade (unless the hero has a special ability that grants site access).
4. You have an unoccupied green site in your territory.
5. Your red brigade hero can now enter battle and bring the unoccupied green site with him, which gives him access to your opponent's Lost Soul in the green site.
6. If for any reason the unoccupied green site is discarded by your opponent, your red brigade hero will no longer have access to the green site (unless the site you brought into battle had a special ability that granted site access, which will remain after the site is discarded unless it is negated).

Ok thanks for the clarification. I was getting confused with the whole part of enhancements have to match the color of the Hero.  I thought that would be the same case for sites...but that didn't make sense to me since a Hero would already have access to that color site. Thanks everyone!
