How to PlayA choose opponent ability used before a blocker is presented forces your opponent to block with the chosen character, instead of allowing them to choose their blocker.A choose opponent ability used after a blocker is presented removes all characters your opponent controls in battle and puts the selected character in battle. If any character in battle cannot be removed by the choose opponent ability, then no character can be added via that ability.A choose opponent ability targets both the character(s) to be removed from battle and the character to be put into battle (and the blocking player if no blocker has yet been presented, restricting them from being able to present an initial blocker of their choosing).A choose opponent ability is instantaneous. Default ConditionsThe character targeted to be put into battle must come from the hand of the player using the choose opponent ability or from a territory.Characters removed from battle by a choose opponent ability are returned to their owner's territory.Special ConditionsA choose opponent ability used before the initial blocker is presented cannot be interrupted (though it can be prevented).
Also, would it be good to indicate which character(s) an interrupt can be played on? If the new character is a different brigade, can an interrupt be played on the character being removed? Or, can it be played on the new character? Thanks
I would probably specify where the characters removed from battle go as a default Condition. Just to eliminate the off chance of someone thinking it a remove from the game effect.
Nope. Special initiative, which would be required to play an interrupt on the character being removed, can only be played if you will be left with no characters on your side of the battle after an ability resolves. In this case, you will have 1 character still in battle (just probably not the one you want )
