Just trying to get a complete understanding of how The Throne of David works.

1. I attack with Armorbearer+ King Amaziah with TToD in territory and am blocked by KoT. KoT negates Armorbearer's banding ability and kicks out King Amaziah. Can I still use TToD to draw and play a purple interrupt enhancment?

2. I attack with King Amaziah with TToD in territory and am blocked by King Rehoboam. During the side battle that Rehoboam causes he plays an enhancement that returns Amaziah to my hand and then both of the side battle characters are discarded. When we continue to am I allowed to draw and play a purple interrupt enhancement?

The Throne of David (RA)
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: When your purple brigade King is blocked, if no Evil Character in battle has a weapon, you may draw X cards and play an O.T. purple brigade Enhancement. • Play As: When your purple brigade King is blocked, if no Evil Character in battle has a weapon, you may draw X cards and play an Enhancement that is from the O.T. and purple brigade. • Identifiers: X = the number of evil brigades your opponent has in play.

The Throne of David doesn't activate until all other abilities have completed after an evil character blocks. In the first scenario, King of Tyrus negates the banding, so it's as if King Amazing was never in battle to begin with, so TToD would not activate. In the second, again, TToD doesn't activate until the evil character's ability completes (which, in this case, includes the side-battle), so if Amazing is returned to hand during the side-battle, he's not in battle when TToD checks to see if it can activate.
