Title: does this work?
Post by: cookie monster on September 13, 2011, 01:19:12 PM
If i attack with a green hero, and play visions to start a side battle, then play the new Gibeonite Trickery in the side battle, to make the end the side battle, does the hero stay in battle since Gibeonite trickery was played in a side battle?

If the side battle is ended and the hero is not affected (discarded/beaten by numbers/pushed out of battle/etc.) then the hero would return to the original battle.

Yes.

Since Visions creates a side battle between the blocking EC and another EC, if the blocking EC is discarded due to Gibeonite Trickery being played (if the battle ends in a mutual destruction or the blocking EC losing by the numbers), then the EC is discarded and is no longer blocking the rescue attempt.

If the side battle ends in a statemate or the blocking EC is winning by the numbers after Gibeonite Trickery is played, the blocking EC survives and returns to the original battle.

I'm pretty sure the underlying question being asked was whether an "end the battle" played in a side battle will end the original battle.
