RooT ruling question

Hero attacks.

Blocking player knows (from a previous turn) that attacking player has AotL in hand.

Blocking player, who has Grapes of Wrath in hand, pushes an EC out and attempts to trigger a draw ability.

Attacking player uses AotL and points out that draw was prevented by Pigs LS while the blocking player plays Grapes after finishing the draw ability.

Who does the tie go to?
Fortress Alstad
Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

If there were no draw ability, technically the attacker is fine to play AotL at that point, and technically the tie only goes into effect if there is a slapjack scenario where both dominants are to be played at the same time.

If the blocker went to try to do another action, just as attempting to draw (even though they could not) and did not put down their dominant at the same time, I'm pretty sure we have to say Angel goes through.

EDIT:  While the above might generally hold true for me in a tournament setting, I spoke to another Judge and to both competitors.  After hearing both sides of this (and another) situation in the game regarding dominants, I have changed my ruling, and Grapes worked because it seems that no time was given to respond to the block and play Grapes before Angel was thrown down.
