Does It Work?

I have Go Into Captivity activated as an artifact.  A human hero makes a rescue attempt.  I block with a Nebby (or basically any warrior Bab) with swift horses equip.  I then search/place an enhancement that doesn’t remove the rescuing hero.  I then use swift horses to draw two and play another enhancement that does not remove the rescuing hero.  I then discard GIC to capture the rescuing hero.  Since it’s an artifact that is removing the hero and none of the enhancements that were play, does my opponent still have a chance to interrupt my enhancements and negate them before GIC takes him or can they only try to negate the artifact (which basically makes my enhancements CBN)?

Go Into Captivity
Type: Curse • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 0 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: If your warrior class Evil Character is in battle, you may discard this card to capture a Hero. • Play As: When holder chooses, if your warrior class Evil Character is in battle then you may discard this card to capture a Hero. • Identifiers: OT • Verse: Deuteronomy 28:41 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Uncommon)

Your opponent never gets initiative to interrupt the enhancements, because GiC is not an ability that transfers initiative (when used as an Artifact).

...or at least until they create an interrupt last artifact card.   ;)

Sweetness ;D

Another question.  Let's say my anxious opponent slaps down AOTL before I'm done using all of my abilities.  What happens:

a) They have to pick it back up and then it'll be a race between discarding my art to capture before they throw it down again

b) Keeps it down and kills my EC after I use all the specials but I can still us GIC to capture their hero

c) same as B but I am unable to use GIC.

I believe I know the answer but I just want to make sure it's correct in case it comes up and my opponent tries to argue against it.

Your opponent cannot play AotL until all your abilities are complete.  However, you would have the chance to respond to your own action (blocking) and get to use GiC before they can play AotL.  So, it's none of the above.
