Divination (TP):
If used by a Magician, look at the top six cards of deck. Select one evil card and add it to hand or battle. Return the rest to the top and/or bottom of deck in any order. Cannot be interrupted.

It's not a search, so do you (or should you) have to reveal the evil card selected?  A quick wiki search didn't come up with any similar cards - Susanna/Fortunatus/Prayer and Fasting have no restrictions on what to take.

As far as I am aware anything that restricts what you can take (by alignment, card type, whatever) requires you to reveal it to prove it meets the requirements.

There's a clarification in the REG to that effect for Searches, and it's already part of Reveals.  Divination is neither.

I do believe that should be the correct ruling, just can't find anything in the Rulebook or REG to confirm that for this particular situation.

My guess is the Look section is just missing that clarification. We could add it to the REG updates feedback thread.

It is the current rule, and would need to be added to Look.  Please note that Look was a completely new entry to this version of the REG, as it was not in the last version; therefore, it is unfortunately not surprising that those writing the thing may have missed something, which is definitely the case here.

Look doesn't really feel like the right place for that, since it's usually the "other effect" that warrants the reveal.  Look might warrant a clarification similar to the one under Reveal - you have to reveal if you can't complete the "other effect", if there is one.

One thing we were looking to avoid was the "hidden" rules as much.  For instance, all Exchanges that go to deck/discard are Searches, but that was only found in Search in the past and it was a constant question/complaint.  I agree that we should be as clear as possible wherever possible, and so we'd like to add those things to all entries where it could apply.

However, I also agree that this probably doesn't go in Look as much as in the other effects being referenced.
