Discard From Deck... Discard Lost Soul?

There are a lot of cards that discard the top card from an opponent's deck, and a lot of them say that if the card being discarded is a lost soul, then they should put it in play. What about cards like Egyptian Horsemen that only say to discard the top card? Does the lost soul still come into play?

Nope. If the discard card doesn't say to put the LS in play, then a discarded LS goes to the discard pile like any other card.

If you're really worried about it, include The Thankful Leper in your deck.

Wicked community is better,

Why?
Doesn't mess up an offensive theme. Thankful leper would mess up the most common acompliment offense to egyptians.

Wicked Community would probably be better if you're playing with evil Gold but not good Gold.

Well, Egyptian Horsemen was just an example. I'm sure there are others like it.

There's something severely wrong if you're using a full-fledged Egyptian defense to begin with.

There's nothing wrong with using a full-fledged Egyptian defense. It just means you'll probably have fun more often than you'll win.

My 154-card Egyptian/Herod defense deck (with very little offense) won 3 games at Nationals, lost 1, and timed out 6. ;) It was a lot of fun, and I discarded 4 Son of God cards from people's decks! :)

What's wrong with a full Egyptian defense? The biggest reason decks like TGT are popular is because everyone does speed decks with no good defense to stop it. If there's a solid defense, TGT fails pretty hard.

Far be it from me to discourage the use of defense. I just discourage the use of Egyptians as a full defense. Assyrians, Babylonians, Kings, Magicians, Demons, Romans, heck, even Canaanites are more solid.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Unless you make the mistake of building a demon defense. At Nats it crushed Disciple Decks but I had completely forgotten about Mary Magdalene.

I have a Genesis Egyptian defense that seems to work well enough.
