I know that the Land of Bondage is shared and so are the sites, but if CP is out does it protect both player or just the one that has the site?

i believe it only protects the holder, because you do have seperate territories. For instance, if you used pentacost, it would only do your heroes, which i believe is the same thing for CP.

Then the person that needs the protection alway would have the Land of Bondage.

I've always played it that if it isn't on a lost soul than it only protects the territory that it's in. If it's on a Lost soul than it protect both since it's in a shared area.

I am not a TEAMS expert, but this is how I have ruled also. Unoccupied sites are in a territory, so it is in the owner's territory and only affects that player. Occupied sites are in the Land of Bondage, which is shared.

So, it would seem that having an occupied CP in TEAMS when you and your partner use NT defense would be ideal. I would wait for Elder confirmation, though. Prof Underwood is the TEAMS dude.  ;D

The way it has been ruled at MN tournies is as YMT stated...unoccupied sites only apply to the owner, occupied sites apply to both teammates.

Sorry to hijack, but I've never played Teams and I have a newbie question:

I vaguely remember that fortresses are shared between teammates, so that means my High Priest's Palace protects my teammate's Pharisees/Sadducees from discard and I can use my teammate's Herod's Temple to save my NT character? Or am I mistaken?

It also works with set-aside forts.  Some teams both use Disciples, so they can both get massive draws from Boat.

except you both cant have the same hero in boat and in either of your territories, and you cant return your teammates hero to your deck to draw. its actually very hard for both players to get massive draws from boat.

Question: Since you and your teammate share a Fishing Boat, can you take each other's cards out of fishing boat. Not to draw, but just to use.

Just remember what MKC warned you about:

You cannot have John in your territory and your teammate's John in Fishing Boat. Every disciple in Fishing Boat is in your set-aside area (since fortresses are shared). You cannot have duplicates in play and set-aside.

It actually works pretty well.  I draw Thomas, so I'll throw my teammate's Tom beneath his deck to draw.  It worked fairly well for Chris and I at NE Regionals.

...?  That's totally impossible.  If a card is put into a deck, it's put into the owner's deck.  Two elders were there, one watched me do it.

You may place a Hero from here beneath your deck to draw X or to give your disciples access to all Sites this turn. Did you meet the cost of placing a disciple from there beneath YOUR deck? If not, you didn't pay the cost.

Disciples are pretty bad in teams. Especially when you each use like 3x of the generics.

Kittens play is legal - The Disciple returns to the teammates deck via game rule, but it still counts as being placed below yours. One important thing to note, however, is that the 'X' variable on Fishing Boat is 'X = The Number of YOUR disciples here' - So you can only count your own disciples, not your teammates.

http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/fishing-boat-vs-teammates-heroes/

it was said there you cannot put the hero beneath your deck, therefore you did not fulfill the cost and you do not get the effect. gabe confirmed not being able to put teammates heroes underneath your own deck with boat, and did not disagree with any of the general consensus of the thread.

Interesting, I'll have to read that tomorrow, I thought we had ruled it similar to the Philistine Armor Bearer situation. For now go with Gabe's ruling as authentic.
