Devouring Birds

How does the last part of his ability work? It says if blocking you may return this card to hand after battle. So if he is never negated can he return to hand everytime after battle? What if he's under deck or removed from the game or discarded by the numbers does he still come back to hand after battle?

It's a trigger that goes off after battle and since targets default to play birds has to be in play when it happens. If it gets underdecked, discarded, or anything else like that the ability never gets a chance to go off.

What other evil enhancement are there for Crimson besides Babylonians enhancement. It seems like if you play Crimson you almost have to play Babylonians because most of the crimson enhancements refer to Babylonians.

TEC has some very nice Crimson EEs that don't have "conditions" such as "If used by a Babylonian", etc.  Great Image, Dream, and Belshazzar's Banquet are always good too.

There's a lot of powerful crimson EEs! Hypocrisy, Christian Suing Another, Deceitful Sin, 2 with stats 0/6 from Early Church but the names escaped me right now, Scattered, Invoking Terror, Nico's Teaching, Deceit of Sapphira and Neb's Pride. I'm sure I missed a few.

Don't forget the other new ones like Jezzy's Teaching, Dragon's Wrath and Third Bowl.

Teaching is pretty garbage though.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

That depends on your perspective and what defense you're playing it with. JT works very well with a Canaanite defense that I run with an idol in the mix. And I'm sure it would work well with a Philly defense too.

No it really doesn't. It's not a completely useless card, it's just a cardslot that I can guarantee you would be better as a different card.
