Hello Redemption community! I am a new player having just discovered Redemption about a month ago as an alternative to Magic for my little sister. We picked up the I/J starter deck and also the Anniversary gift box with G/H and some booster packs. I have spent many hours doing as much research as I can as we have no one in our area that plays (boo for rural towns). She is 10 and I am 32 (parents started over with adoption) and we are both really enjoying the game a ton!
As we play sometimes we come across a set of plays that makes us question how negate works both now and for the future. I will give an example and maybe you can clear up some questions we have as to how the interrupt and prevent on negate works in play.
P1: Angel at Bethesda 3/1
P2: Foul Spirit 6/7, Negate Heroes (Does this mean the special ability? or the fact that angel is a hero card and so it is like it wasn't even played?)
Initiative moves to P1 due to losing by numbers I believe? if so, then
P1: Eaten by Worms 4/2, Discard an Evil Character. Can this be interrupted by a negate? I am assuming it can.
At this point P2 would be losing by removal?
P2: Evil Strength 3/3, Negate and discard the last good Enhancement played in battle. That would remove the previous card, but only if you didn't immediately follow the cards directions and Discard the Evil Character.
P1: Glad Tidings 1/4, Negate and discard the last Evil Enhancement played in battle. Does this then overwrite the previous negate and allow for all three cards played thus far on P1 to stay and then remove Evil Strength from P2 and leave P2 with only the original Foul Spirit?
Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated as we would like to play this correctly and follow the rules as written. Thanks in advance.
