Title: Destruction v.s. CBN artifact
Post by: peanutbutter(: on July 01, 2013, 11:25:38 AM
Although DoN is an evil dominant, would it negate an artifact that cannot be negated? I understand that either way it will be discarded (unless Lampstand is out) but my understanding is that even if an artifact is discarded its effect lasts until the end of the phase, someone correct me if I'm wrong.   ???

example:
Holy of Hollies-The words interrupt, prevent, and negate on all character cards is prevented. Cannot be negated.
Destruction-Discard one active artifact in play. Artifact's ability is negated.

You are correct. If you play DoN on Holy of Holies, it will still last until the end of the phase. So playing it on HoH during the battle phase will usually do you no good, the only exception being if you use a card like Grapes or The Long Day to begin a new battle phase, when your FBTN character abilities will work.
