Is The Throne of David considered a Temple (for Desecrate the Temple)?

And can Desecrate the Temple discard face-down artifacts?

Is The Throne of David considered a Temple (for Desecrate the Temple)?

No, his throne would've been in the castle... the temple wasn't built yet.

And can Desecrate the Temple discard face-down artifacts?

I'm about 80% sure it can.  This ruling got so messy I stopped reading, but I think it was leaning towards it being able to target face down artifacts.

That's the kind of answer I'd've liked about 5 pages earlier...

If not for Split Altar, that would've occurred.

Yes. It now works as intended.
