Ethan
Heman
Jeiel
Miriam
Moses
Barak
Deborah

There must be some documentation that they actually sang something, in Scripture.

Sorry, obviously I was kidding, I'll change the smile to a wink......

I am doing some research though, and here's a tenative list that I'm reading passages on to solidify the suggestions:

Ezekiel
Isaiah

More to come with research.

Ok:

I think Ezekiel is fairly solid - "Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well" That's Ezekiel 33:32, when taken in context it is God speaking to Ezekiel in a vision, since Ezekiel was a prophet, we know that it came true, thus we can infer that he lead his congregation in worship of the singing kind.

I'm going to go ahead and say Isaiah is solid also - If the condition is wrote songs then I submit this:

Isaiah 26 - Listed as a "Song of Praise" in the NIV - First verse:
"In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
       We have a strong city;
       God makes salvation
       its walls and ramparts.
       Open the gates
that the righteous nation may enter,
       the nation that keeps faith"

I think thats fairly strong evidence for both.

Other musicians, not joking...

Habakkuk - from Habakkuk 3:1-19

And possibilities...
Mary - Luke 1:46-55
Zacharias, father of John - Luke 1:67-79
Hannah - 1 Sam 2:1-10

You might make a case for the Twelve (minus Judas) from Matt. 26:30, but if just singing qualifies then you can also add
Paul and Barnabus - Acts 16:25
Women of Israel - 1 Samuel 18:6
Isaiah - Isaiah 5:1

What about the Magnificat of Mary and the Hymns written by Paul in his epistles?

I can get behind that.  David's lament upon hearing of the death of King Solomon Saul  ::) is referred to as the Song of the Bow, which is why Bow and Arrow is considered a musical Enhancement.  This seems to be right in line with that idea.

Asaph

now can we have a list of enhancements that involve music

Exactly.  So, the disciples singing the Passover Hymn doesn't count.  ;)

What to make of these and generic angels?

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

Yeah, because THAT has a lot to do with whether or not the Scripture was a song  ::)

Of course. If he was around for Solomon's Death, I'd also want him reclassified as either an Angel/Betty White.

Yes, and most musicians have no idea how to write a song to save thier lives.

They just sing what the song writers write and take all the credit for it ;)

Also, Redemption =/= Real life definitions.

And Miriam's musician verse is printed right on her card if I remember correctly.......

Oh, and I'm a musician, so enjoy your false absolute.

Can I get some kind of ruling on this? As an active member of my church's praise team (along with writing drum parts in other branches of music), I have an interest in this.

Musician was an option for the white custom heroes, regardless of your actual musical ability.
