I brought up that possibility for Joseph of Arimathea during testing. The Bible does not offer any strong evidence that he was a pharisee or a sadducee, only that he was part of the ruling council. He's not considered either for Redemption purposes.
What ruling council?
Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.Mark 15:43
LOL, I read the verse. I meant what is the Ruling Council for? Is it part of the Sanhedrin?
If he was on the Ruling Council, then he must at least be a Judge.....
