Interrupt and Remove

When a card interrupts an enhancement and removes it, does it effectively prevent the interrupted enhancement?

Example:
Player 1 plays Wrath of Satan.
Player 2 plays Faith as a Mustard Seed (Di) (If used by a N.T. Hero, interrupt an occupied Site, an evil Enhancement, or a non-human Evil Character and remove it from the game.)

When Faith as a Mustard Seed removes Wrath of Satan, does it effectively prevent its effect? (I.e., the card is no longer in the game, so how can it have its effect?)

Yes. Since the enhancement is no longer in play when the interrupt ability ends, it is effectively negated.

It does not "prevent" the effect, because you can only do that before the card is played.  As Browarod says, if you interrupt the effect and remove the card, that is essentially the same as a negate; the card's effect is canceled out.
