Deafening spirit
Negate and discard the last good enhancement played this battle. You may treat this as an evil character until the end of this battle.

My question is this if I go out with A hero that negates evil characters and my opponent plays this enhancement and chooses to treat this enhancement as an evil character. Is he then prevented from negating the last good enhancement?

Another question. If he negates the last good enhancement and treats the enhancement as an evil character is the card no longer targetable as an enhancement with regular initiative? Or do you now have to use and interrupt the battle card? What about an interrupt the last enhancement?

1. Prevent doesn't work retroactively.

2. Correct, it would not be targetable as an enhancement.

3. Interrupt the battle would undo it as long as Deafening Spirit is the last card your opponent played.

4. I could potentially see it being ruled that since it was an enhancement when it was played, "interrupt the last enhancement played" would hit it. However, I would rule that it would not be able to hit it since Deafening Spirit is no longer an enhancement at all.

So your saying there is no specific ruling on sheathed it’s targetable as an enhancement or not? That it’s more up to the judge than the rule book?

It is definitely not targetable as an enhancement. The only thing I am not completely sure about is whether an ability that targets "the last enhancement played" cares if that card is an enhancement now or only if it was an enhancement when it was played.

There is a ruling on that question, but I don't recall it off the top of my head.

If you do a search for "Deafening Spirit" I believe you'll be able to find an older thread with that ruling.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
