David (Red) (Ki)

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 10 / 3 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: David may use and hold one weapon class enhancement from any good brigade except silver. • Play As: David may use other enhancements and hold one weapon class enhancement from any good brigade except silver. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, King & Musician (Israel), Royalty, Prophet, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: I Samuel 17:37

Can you place non-Red Weapons on David outside of battle?

No, you may not.  His ability does not activate unless he is in battle, meaning that he would have to enter battle and have it played on him there.  Before then (and after, btw), it is not active and thus cannot break normal rules.

Basically, if he enters battle you can play any non-silver good weapon on him.  By the wording of the card, I would say that once he hits territory the weapon *sticks* and he would keep holding it.

However, outside of the battle phase, or if he is not in the battle, or he is prevented, you may not play a weapon of another brigade on him.
