Why isn't Golden Cherubim a Tabernacle artifact?

In Exodus 25-31, God gave Moses the instructions for making the Tabernacle.

"Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and all of its furniture, so you shall make it." - Exodus 25:9

Exodus 25:18-20 describe the golden cherubim which was built over and as part of the mercy seat, the "lid" of the ark of the covenant.

In Exodus 37:7-9, it is described that Bezalel completed the making of the cherubim on the ark, as the entire tabernacle was completed as described from Exodus 35-40.

Given all of this...why isn't Golden Cherubim a Tabernacle artifact? Is it a matter of being over powered? Or am I missing something?

Thanks!

The Golden Cherubim card does not refer to the ones on the Ark of the Covenant's lid, but instead a set that were constructed for Solomon's Temple that the entire Ark of the Covenant was placed between.
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

Thanks for explaining- that's what I was missing! I didn't realize there were 2 sets of cherubim. But I just read what you were referring to in 1 Kings 6.

Thanks again!  :)

The reference on Golden Cherubim is from the 1 Kings version of the cherubim (confirming Christian Soldier's comment), but I do think the picture being just of the Ark (you don't see these cherubim to the sides) is a bit misleading. :P

Right - because the cherubim in solomon's temple weren't attached to the ark, right? They were huge (spanning the entire inner sanctuary) and over the ark, I believe...
