Does the Pharisee have to be grey?
Damascus
"When you play this Site, search deck or discard pile for a gray Syrian or Pharisee and play it."
-
Yes, gray applies to either identifier that Damascus can search out.
-
Since it doesn't specify a "gray Pharisee" then it would default to any character (including Paul, Nicodemus, etc) with the Pharisee identifier.
Update: Ok sorry. I was thinking the gray part only applied to a Syrian. So when it comes to Paul it looks like it can only search out the old Paul (Saul).
-
If the Pharisee did not have to be gray, it would read "a gray Syrian or a Pharisee."
Since that extra "a" is not there, the gray condition applies to both.

Yes, Damascus can definitely search out Saul/Paul.

Yeah I thought about that after. I was thinking of how the wording would be if it could search out any Pharisee and I figured it was as you said. Thanks for clarifying. :). This has come up before with other cards such as Every Man's Sword and some others.
