If you have at least as much strength (*/) than the evil characters do toughness (/*), the non-immune ECs will be discarded. In this case, assuming no EEs in battle, if you have at least 11 toughness, Spirit of Temptation would be discarded.
No and no. You can't target that character (except for interrupts/negates and Plague of Frogs, which specifies regardless of immunity), but their hand, deck, territory, etc. (everything but that character) is fair game.
