ok, with HT, Lambo is correct. with TToD, I would say you are not able, because the blocker's ability completes and the blocker is gone.
However, your question WOULD apply to The Throne of David, which must wait for an opponent to block. I would like to know if you could play a card after Uzzah blocks using a card like TToD as well.
Couldn't the purple hero also play Unified Kingdom and band in a FBTN hero, and negate the LS protection, as its an ongoing ability?
You should still be able to negate an ongoing ability even if the character is not in battle anymore.
A FBTN card should negate an ongoing ability, regardless of where the card is... if I'm not mistaken.
Also, what would happen if you banded in a hero like Ehud? Could you pick a new blocker and continue the fight?
Yeah, but only with a card that specifically negates things in d/c, right?

I get a bit confused myself about which negates can reach out of play, but I think it is only "negate last" cards that can do that. A regular FBN character entering battle would negate abilities of characters and enhancements in play, but I don't think it would negate the ongoing protection from a discarded Uzzah.
Well, I know that Uzzah stops even Son of God from rescuing souls, so I imagine PO would be stopped as well.
