What exactly is "tempting" about that picture anyway?
Spirit of Temptation is male as far as I know and I believe Guardian protects both halves if at last one of the people have it.

Does that mean that Arianna and Kira are female angels now, or are they still bound by the "all angels are male" rule?
Well, according to both RedemptionLive! and the wiki Spirit of Temptation is indeed female although the REG says a demon's gender is determined by the look of it on the card if it's not mentioned in the reference. To me, SoT looks male no matter how tempting of a look it's giving. With the horns, beard, and other things I'm not convinced. Plus, you're supposed to be tempted by other things because of the spirit, not tempted by the look of the spirit itself.
