Is a converted Self considered a hero with no SA?
Self
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: * / * • Class: None • Special Ability: Abilities (*/*) match the abilities of one of opponent’s Heroes in play. If that Hero leaves the field of play, abilities become 0/0. • Identifiers: Generic NT Human, (gender, testament, and other identifiers match selected Hero) • Verse: Colossians 3:9

Paradox's rule.

The "Special Ability" is an explanation of the */* abilities, like that seen on Jethro's Wisdom or Silly Women. It is not a special ability, so it is not lost in conversion. It can be set aside via Passover Preparations or protected by Windows of Narrow Light, as a Hero.

I thought it was ruled that it is part identifier and part special ability.
The "Abilities (*/*) match the abilities of one of opponent’s Heroes in play." sentence is an identifier like the other cards you mentioned.
However the "If that Hero leaves the field of play, abilities become 0/0." sentence is a special ability.
That means it does not work with Windows of Narrow Light. I think the special ability might not convert though since it would be harming a hero but then I still have no clue what the official ruling will be for conversion.

I don't see how the "abilities become 0/0" part doesn't describe the */*.
-
I think it does describe the */* and initially I thought it would all be considered an identifier. I asked on here a while ago and had it ruled the way I described though. I think it is described as having a trigger that when met changes the heroes abilities which is a special ability.
