my opponent makes a rescue attempt with a teal hero. i block with a grey evil character. i play balaams disobediance, making me immune to the blue hero. the hero plays burning incense to ignore my grey evil character. does ignore trump immunity, and does the hero make a successful rescue attempt?

You were immune to him first so he cannot ignore you.  If he had played the ignore first, your immunity wouldn't work.
May you prosper greatly!

From the REG:

A stalemate results when an ignore card is played after and against an immunity card (e.g., Mary plays Compassion of Jeremiah when blocked by Red Dragon.  However, if the ignore card is played before the immunity card, the ignore will win.  In other words, a character can’t become immune to a character that is already ignoring that character.  Conversely, a character that is already immune continues to be immune even if ignored.  Therefore, the result is a stalemate.

Ah, I was mistaken then. Apologies.

So immunity and then ignore results in a stalemate, I'll have to remember that.

Like bro said, immunity then ignore=stale but ignore then immunity=/=stale? It lets you go through them?

Whichever one activates first takes priority, and the other is not allowed to activate.

So, immunity is likely to result in stalemate, while Ignore is likely to result in a victory.

but both can be interrupted, so i guess it all boils down to which one comes off first...

Not exactly. The protection that an ignore gives you still works, just the "You can't touch me and I get a ls" part of the ignore don't work.

I thought ignore and immunity worked simular in the "you can't touch me" part...maybe I need to rethink one of my conceptual decks.

Immune is like MC Hammer. Ignore means you go through them like they are even there. Like Paralyzer by Finger 11 XD
