Confusion of Mind question

Artifacts like Confusion of Mind that say things like "Cannot ne negated", how does that work?  For example, if on my player's turn he activates COM, can I fulfill the requirement of the card by discarding two good enahcements immediately?  If so, then I assume the "cannot be negated" means that for his turn my heroes' special abilities are negated, but at the start of my turn they WILL have their special abilities again?

Thanks.

Confusion of Mind - Pale Green Curse - "Negate all special abilities on opponents’ Heroes.  An opponent may discard two good Enhancements (or a good Dominant) from hand to discard this card.  Cannot be negated."

Having cannot be negated status simply means if you discard it (by its effect or Nehushtan, etc.) the effect will remain through the end of the phase. So, if you discard it before your battle phase, your heroes won't be negated any longer when you start a battle.

It's actually only stays active during the phase of which it was discarded.  So if your opponent activates it during their prep phase and you quickly get rid of it (e.g. discard from hand/DON), then it will only last until the battle phase start.

Another question.

If COM is up and TGW is brought into battle, does the discarded cards count for COM?

The Generous Widow
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Yellow • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: All players must discard two cards from hand and draw two cards. Cannot be negated.

I would think that there's a rule somewhere about special conditions on cards having to be met at the time the card is activated or something...
Use the Mad Bomber to rescue his Province.

No. You have to d/c the two FOR COM's S.a. Not another SA.

Normally yes but the d/c is a trigger S.A.
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.
