If I have Josiah's Covenant active when I play ANB do my heroes get shuffled?

Protect all Heroes in player's territory from harm or negative effect.


Also, if I rescue with a provisioned Samuel and band to Ahimelek, can I choose the blocker and then return it to my hand?

Would the second one work if Samuel banded to Armor bearer then Ahimelek?

Just to give you the Order of Operations:

1. First, complete all printed special abilities in the order written on the card EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.

2. Then complete all gained abilities (gained in set-aside or on previous turn, etc.), EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.

3. Then, complete all weapon abilities.

4. Then, complete banding abilities.

5. Last, complete choose blocker abilities.
